Free Adult Computer Courses


The William O. Lee Jr. Computer Learning Center located at 629 North Market Street in Frederick, MD offers free computer courses that help connect adults with the skills and opportunities needed to succeed.

The CLC offers 12 different daytime and evening computer courses on a rotating basis, covering topics such as Fundamentals of Computers, Microsoft Office and Office Administration. For more information, please visit:

The Adult Computer Courses are taught in small groups, in a well-equipped computer laboratory, by instructors committed to personal attention. Space is limited. Sessions will be offered during four (4) month intervals ranging from one (1) night workshops to courses spanning six (6) to eight (8) weeks. The sessions will be as follows:

  • Fall Session (2011): Aug 22nd – November 30th, 2011
  • Spring Session (2012): March 26th, 2012– June 29th, 2012

Note: Students will be evaluated when they register to determine their computer skill level and to make sure there are placed in the correct computer course. An assessment test may be administered to new students or students not sure of their computer competency level. Tests will only be used to determine the placement of the student for the Adult Computer Courses.
