Family Services – We Thrive

The HACF Family Services office works directly with our residents to build thriving communities.

At HACF we believe our residents thrive when they have access to:

We build strong relationships with community partners to provide services to our residents, some of these programs include:

R.I.S.E.

Rotarian Initiative for Successful Employment. RISE meets the needs of the residents by providing vital services such as professional training, workshops, internships, childcare, transportation assistance, mentoring, networking, and by sourcing the financial requirements of those programs. Learn More

S.O.A.R.

SOAR is a job training program we offer in partnership with Frederick County Workforce Services, Frederick Community College and the Frederick County Building Industry Assoc. to help our residents gain training and employment in the trade industry. In 2015, we successfully put 13 young men from our community through a two-week training program and a 12-week paid internship which led to full-time employment. Learn More

Community Gardens

We have two community gardens with plots available for all residents to grow their own food, gardening workshops offered by our garden coordinator and MD Master Gardener partners, and a weekly youth garden club that runs year-round. Learn More

Youth Programs

We believe building stronger communities means first building up our youth. Our Youth Programs provide academic and social enrichment to over 150 school-aged youth in our communities. Find out more about all of our youth programs here.

We have many more programs that we invite you to explore on our website or by contacting our Family Services Staff below.
